The journey begins in the Puster Valley and heads toward Cortina d’Ampezzo, often called the “Pearl of the Dolomites” and known for its Olympic history. Along the way, you’ll enjoy views of the iconic Three Peaks before continuing along the former Dolomites railway line. This scenic route takes you through charming mountain villages and impressive alpine landscapes all the way to Feltre.
From there, the tour turns north through the Valsugana Valley toward the historic city of Trento. The route then climbs gently to Bolzano, the vibrant heart of South Tyrol. In the final stages, you follow the valleys of the Adige and Isarco rivers, surrounded by green landscapes and constantly changing views, before returning to the Hochpustertal.

Show dayElevation gain: 1163 m
Your first stage starts in the Puster Valley, surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Dolomites. The route follows the former Dolomites railway line between the Three Peaks Nature Park and the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park, offering impressive views of the iconic Three Peaks. After crossing from South Tyrol into the Veneto region, you reach Cortina d’Ampezzo, a historic Olympic town set among legendary peaks. From there, continue through forests, tunnels, and scenic mountain landscapes to Pieve di Cadore.
Elevation gain: 960 m
Today’s stage heads south through classic Dolomite scenery. You pass through Longarone, rebuilt after the tragic Vajont disaster of 1963, and continue to the peaceful town of Belluno. The route then leads through forests and traditional villages before reaching Feltre, a historic town with charming architecture and mountain views.
Distance: 110 km, Elevation gain: 2083 m / Distance: 82 km + train
Leaving Feltre, a small gem along the historic Via Claudia Augusta, you follow an ancient Roman route through scenic landscapes. The ride leads toward Lake Caldonazzo, the largest natural lake in Trentino, known for its calm, clear waters. Part of the stage can be shortened by train if desired (82 km + 25 km by train - ticket not included). The day ends in Trento, a city rich in history and home to the impressive Buonconsiglio Castle.
Elevation gain: 572 m
From Trento, you follow the cycle path along the Adige River, leaving the historic center behind. The valley opens into a landscape of vineyards and orchards as you ride north. You pass through the Salorno Gorge, the cultural border between Italian-speaking Trentino and German-speaking South Tyrol, before reaching Bolzano, the lively capital of the region.
Elevation gain: 430 m
Start the day in Bolzano, a city where Tyrolean and Mediterranean influences meet. Explore the arcaded streets, relax at Walther Square, or visit the famous Ötzi museum. Then follow the Isarco River cycle path, passing castles, monasteries, vineyards, and alpine scenery on the way to Bressanone. End the day with a walk through the historic center and a visit to the cathedral.
Elevation gain: 2090 m
Your final cycling stage leads north along the Isarco River. Along the route, you pass the impressive Franzensfeste fortress, the Neustift Abbey complex, and the remains of the Mühlbach fortress. The path then returns to the green Puster Valley, following the gentle flow of the Rienz River. A stop in Brunico is recommended to enjoy its lively pedestrian streets, cafés, and alpine atmosphere.

Accommodation is one of the most important parts of each trip that strongly influences the final look of it. We make our best to offer you the best possible accommodation in the prefered category. The hotels we offer are either comfortable small hotels or quite guesthouses both in 3* quality, all of it rather small and with personality than big chain. All the tours have accommodation in or near the town/village centres so you can spend the afternoon and evening after biking exploring the town itself or simply enjoy the peace of the place.
