Itinerary

Arrival and overnight stay in Helsingborg

Show day
1 Day
Welcome to Helsingborg! Upon arrival, check into your centrally located hotel and take some time to explore this beautiful medieval town by the sea. Wander through the charming streets, enjoy the ocean views, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere.

Helsingborg – Ängelholm

Distance 62 KmShow day
2 Day
Your journey begins with a stunning coastal ride along Kattegattleden, offering breathtaking views of Öresund and the Danish coastline. Along the way, you’ll pass the Sofiero Castle, known for its award-winning gardens. The route continues towards Höganäs, famous for its farm shops and local delicacies. If time allows, take a detour to the Kullaberg Nature Reserve for spectacular views and nature trails. Your ride ends in the picturesque town of Ängelholm, with its charming streets and 500-year history. If needed, you can shorten the route to 46 km by taking an alternative road between Höganäs and Jonstorp.

Ängelholm – Halmstad

Distance 60 KmShow day
3 Day
Departing from Ängelholm, you’ll cycle along the coast before heading inland to Bjäre Peninsula, a region known for its rolling hills and historic farmlands. After a thrilling descent, you’ll reach Båstad, Sweden’s tennis capital. From here, take a train to Halmstad (approx. €10-20, bike space subject to availability). If you prefer to cycle the full route, it’s 94 km, or 76 km if you take a shortcut. The route beyond Båstad follows Sweden’s longest sandy beach and passes through Gullbränna and Tönnersa nature reserves, before arriving in Halmstad.

Halmstad – Falkenberg

Distance 57 KmShow day
4 Day
Leaving Halmstad, you’ll head towards Tylösand, one of Sweden’s most famous beaches. The route then takes you along the coast, passing charming villages, open landscapes, and Steninge Beach, where the scenery transitions from rocky shores to lush farmlands. Your destination for the day is Falkenberg, a historic town with a lively cultural scene.

Falkenberg – Varberg

Distance 39 KmShow day
5 Day
Today’s route takes you through Falkenberg, one of the oldest towns in Halland. As you near Varberg, you’ll pass Apelviken, a hotspot for windsurfers. The ride ends at Varberg Fortress, a historic landmark that towers over the coastline. If you’re up for a challenge, cycle up to the fortress for stunning views or relax in Societetsparken, a leafy park perfect for unwinding.

Varberg – Kungsbacka

Distance 72 KmShow day
6 Day
North of Varberg, the landscape changes—sandy beaches give way to rocky cliffs and small islands like Getterön and Balgö. Follow the serene coastal path past the beautiful beaches of Åsa. Consider a detour to Tjolöholm Castle, Sweden’s only Tudor-style castle. Your journey continues to Kungsbacka, a bustling town known for its vibrant market square. If you’d like to shorten your ride, take a train from Åsa to Kungsbacka (reducing the route to 50 km). Another scenic detour is Fjärås Bräcka, home to 100 ancient standing stones.

Kungsbacka – Göteborg

Distance 63 KmShow day
7 Day

Your final day takes you along the Kungsbacka fjord, following the coastline past the seaside village of Särö, once a royal retreat. The trail winds through lush forests, coastal cliffs, and charming harbors, offering plenty of spots for swimming or relaxing. As you approach Gothenburg, you’ll pass Nya Varvet and Klippan Cultural Reserve before reaching your final destination—the Gothenburg Opera and Lilla Bommen harbor. Welcome to Sweden’s second-largest city! If you prefer a shorter ride, you can skip the Onsala Peninsula, reducing the journey to 41 km.

Our self-guided tours

Accommodation is one of the most important parts of each trip that strongly influences the final look of it. We make our best to offer you the best possible accommodation in the prefered category. The hotels we offer are either comfortable small hotels or quite guesthouses both in 3* quality, all of it rather small and with personality than big chain. All the tours have accommodation in or near the town/village centres so you can spend the afternoon and evening after biking exploring the town itself or simply enjoy the peace of the place.
