Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Ideal Time for a Cycling Tour? The prime months for cycling are June and September, thanks to favorable weather conditions. However, from May through October, the mild climate of our region makes it a great time for biking adventures.

Do I Need a Visa for My Trip? American passport holders do not require a visa for traveling in Europe. EU citizens need only their ID for travel within the EU.

Can I Choose Any Date for a Self-Guided Tour? Absolutely! You have the freedom to select your start date. Once we receive your order, we'll confirm accommodation availability and finalize your dates. Remember, most Czech castles are closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly.

What Should I Pack? A basic list of recommended gear can be found in our Equipment section. You'll also receive a detailed packing list in your information packet before departure.

Can I Bring My Own Bike? Yes, you're welcome to bring your own bike. However, be aware of potential delays at transfer airports, which might affect its availability upon your arrival in the Czech Republic.

May I Bring My Own Bike Pedals and Equipment? Certainly! Feel free to bring any personal bike equipment. Just let us know in advance so we can ensure your bike is prepared accordingly.

What If I Don't Speak a Foreign Language? Don't worry! Most young people in our region have a basic understanding of English, and with a little creativity, you'll find communication manageable.

Is Insurance Necessary? We strongly advise obtaining insurance for cancellation, baggage loss, personal injury, and third-party liability during your cycling tour.

Do You Provide Insurance? We don't arrange personal insurance. You'll need to secure your own, according to your needs. Rest assured, our tours are insured against travel agency bankruptcy as per Czech law.

Luggage Limits: What Can I Bring? Each traveler is permitted one piece of luggage weighing up to 20 kg (40 lbs.) and a handbag, due to vehicle luggage space limitations.

Meal Arrangements: How and Where Will We Eat? Your tour includes a hearty breakfast and possible refreshments from the support vehicle. We can arrange half-board upon request. Lunch options vary from selected eateries to picnic arrangements, and you'll have the freedom to choose your dinner spot each evening.

How Does Luggage Transport Work? On supported or fully guided tours, your luggage travels with the support vehicle. On self-guided tours, leave your luggage at a predetermined location each morning, and it will be transported to your next stay by 4 pm.

What Are the Cycling Routes Like? Our routes primarily follow quiet side roads with minimal traffic, interspersed with forest or field paths. Busier roads are used only when necessary.

What's Included with Rental Bikes? Our rental bikes come equipped with a suspended fork, mudguards, cyclocomputer, bell, front and rear lights, and a water bottle.

Accommodation is one of the most important parts of each trip that strongly influences the final look of it. We make our best to offer you the best possible accommodation in the prefered category. The hotels we offer are either comfortable small hotels or quite guesthouses both in 3* quality, all of it rather small and with personality than big chain. All the tours have accommodation in or near the town/village centres so you can spend the afternoon and evening after biking exploring the town itself or simply enjoy the peace of the place.
