Itinerary
Individual arrive to Turin
Show dayTurin, the first capital of unified Italy in 1861, is renowned for its royal residences and rich history. Once an industrial powerhouse, the city has transformed into a vibrant cultural hub, especially following the 2006 Winter Olympics. Visitors can explore notable attractions like the Egyptian Museum, considered the second most important in the world, Italy's unique Cinema Museum, and the Automobile Museum, all of which have undergone recent renovations. Turin also offers over 200 kilometers of cycling paths along its four rivers and throughout the city, making it an ideal destination for cyclists.
The route is mostly flat. Starting from Turin, you cycle along the Po River and its smaller tributaries, following cycle paths and quiet roads that lead toward the foothills. Along the way, you’ll reach Stupinigi Hunting Lodge, a royal residence of the Savoy family and a stunning rococo masterpiece by architect Filippo Juvarra. Continuing through parks and along riverbanks, you’ll arrive in Pinerolo. This charming medieval town, known for once hosting one of Italy's most esteemed cavalry schools, offers a delightful setting for an overnight stay.
The route remains flat as you cycle along country roads through scenic orchards and vineyards, eventually reaching Cavour, notable for its distinctive 'Rocca' - a morainic hill rising unexpectedly from the plains and now a protected area. The day concludes with an overnight stay in Saluzzo, a medieval town renowned for its abundant fruit production, especially kiwis that are exported worldwide.
Today’s route is of moderate ease, covering 63–69 km, with gentle inclines after Fossano. Along the way, you can visit the charming castles of Manta and Costigliole, as well as the ancient Roman town of Benevagienna and its archaeological site. The journey ends in either Cherasco, a town with seven centuries of history and art, or Bra, famed as a gourmet destination and the birthplace of the 'Slow Food' movement.
Today's ride is moderate to easy, covering 39–45 km or 55–61 km, taking you into the heart of the Langhe region. In Pollenzo—once the Roman town of Pollentia—you’ll visit the University of Gastronomic Sciences and enjoy a wine tasting. From there, cycle along the Tanaro River on a flat route, with a short climb mid-route to reach Barolo, famous for its wine. You also have the option to explore the scenic hills. The day ends with an overnight stay in Alba, known for its white truffles and historic tower houses.
Today’s route is moderate to easy, covering 45–55 km through the picturesque Roero area. Along the way, you’ll pass the castles of Guarene and Cisterna. The first part of the ride follows the Tanaro River, after which you can choose to continue along the river or take a more scenic path through the hills. The day concludes in Asti, a historic town renowned for its sparkling white wine, spumante, and its famous Palio, an annual horse race with deep historical roots.
Today’s ride takes you over the picturesque hills of Monferrato toward Moncalvo, where you’ll be treated to stunning views of the landscape. In the afternoon, you’ll arrive at your hotel in a quaint village nestled in the Monferrato hills, where you can unwind by the outdoor pool or extend your bike tour with a 14 km round-trip to the town of Casale. The route is of medium difficulty.
Departure from Terruggia
Show dayThe tour ends after breakfast. For those wishing to return to Turin, a private minibus is available. Alternatively, guests heading to Casale to catch a train can arrange a private taxi through the hotel.

Accommodation is one of the most important parts of each trip that strongly influences the final look of it. We make our best to offer you the best possible accommodation in the prefered category. The hotels we offer are either comfortable small hotels or quite guesthouses both in 3* quality, all of it rather small and with personality than big chain. All the tours have accommodation in or near the town/village centres so you can spend the afternoon and evening after biking exploring the town itself or simply enjoy the peace of the place.
