Itinerary
You leave Munich along the River Isar and soon find yourself surrounded by untouched natural landscapes and dense forests. The route leads past abbeys and Bavarian villages, and across the Isar wetlands you reach Bad Tölz, a picturesque old town.
Distance: 68-77 km
Today you continue along the River Isar until you reach Lake Sylvenstein. Cycling through the Karwendel Nature Park, you cross the German–Austrian border and arrive at Lake Achensee. A boat trip on the lake is possible before you continue downhill into the Inn Valley and complete your stage in Maurach, Jenbach, or Schwaz.
Distance: 96 km / 88 km + train
From Jenbach or Schwaz you follow the cycle path along the Inn to Tyrol’s capital, Innsbruck. You can visit the historic city with its famous Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof) or take an excursion to Mount Isel with its ski jump or the Tirol Panorama.
The demanding section from Innsbruck to the Brenner Pass—the border between Austria and Italy—will be covered by transfer (train or bus). Only a few buildings still indicate the former border. From Brenner you follow the old railway track to Vipiteno and then on to Fortezza and Brixen.

Accommodation is one of the most important parts of each trip that strongly influences the final look of it. We make our best to offer you the best possible accommodation in the prefered category. The hotels we offer are either comfortable small hotels or quite guesthouses both in 3* quality, all of it rather small and with personality than big chain. All the tours have accommodation in or near the town/village centres so you can spend the afternoon and evening after biking exploring the town itself or simply enjoy the peace of the place.
