Itinerary
Route A - 8 days / 7 nights
Arrival to Děčín
Show dayIndividual arrival to Děčín. This day is yours to explore the capital of the Bohemian Swiss NP.
After breakfast, we transfer you to the Lusatian Mountains for your first hike. The tour begins with a climb to the ruins of Tolštejn Castle. You then continue to Jedlová hora, where a lookout tower offers beautiful panoramic views. Descending from Jedlová hora, you visit the pilgrimage chapel atop Křížová hora (Cross Hill), complete with its Calvary. From here, you gradually leave the Lusatian Mountains and enter the Bohemian Switzerland National Park. You stay overnight in the cosy heart of the park—the town of Krásná Lípa, home to the national park museum, a local brewery, and a chocolate workshop. Accommodation in Krásná Lípa.
You start your day by discovering the history of Krásná Lípa along the nature educational path Köglerova naučná stezka. As you continue, the fairytale-like Kyjov Valley awaits you, with its many sandstone towers. By the end of the day, you arrive in the village of Doubice, known for its unique half-timbered houses showcasing the skill of local craftsmen. From Doubice, you have the option to take a public bus to Dolní Chřibská to shorten the hike by 5 km. Accommodation in Dolní Chřibská.
Begin the day with a short public bus ride. Today’s hike follows tranquil forest trails. Near the village of Rynartice, you will enjoy one of the most stunning panoramic viewpoints in Bohemian Switzerland. You then descend into Pavlino Valley, where you meet the Kamenice Creek for the first time. This cool mountain stream leads you toward Jetřichovice. Return by public bus to Dolní Chřibská. Accommodation in Dolní Chřibská.
This day is dedicated to the famous Jetřichovice lookouts. You begin with a climb to Mariina skála (Maria’s Rock), topped with a wooden gazebo offering breathtaking views of Bohemian Switzerland. From there, you follow a ridge trail with numerous scenic viewpoints. On your way to Mezní Louka, you also conquer the ruins of Šaunštejn Castle, once guarding an old merchant route, and visit the remarkable sandstone formation Malá Pravčická brána (Little Pravčice Gate). Accommodation in Mezní Louka.
Immerse yourself in the region’s extraordinary sandstone formations. You will visit the iconic Pravčická brána, the largest sandstone arch in Europe—where Hans Christian Andersen found inspiration and scenes from The Chronicles of Narnia were later filmed. The trail leads across hills with magnificent views. Combined with a ride on a historic bus and a boat trip through a narrow gorge, today is likely to become the highlight of your journey. Accommodation in Mezní Louka.
In the morning, we pick you up with your luggage and transfer you to the starting point of your final hike, ending in Dolní Žleb. You will climb to the top of sandstone cliffs above Europe’s deepest river canyon, reaching the Belvedér—the oldest viewpoint in Bohemian Switzerland. The day is filled with romantic vistas from various natural and historical viewpoints. The tour concludes in the city of Děčín, returning to the same hotel where you began.
Route B - 4 days / 3 nights
Distance: 8/15 km
Individual arrival in Děčín and welcome meeting. Individual/organized personal transfer from Děčín to the accommodation. Start of the hike in Jetřichovice. You start with a climb to the Maria Rock with a wooden gazebo on its top, which offers a breathtaking view of the Bohemian Switzerland. From here you continue on the ridge path with many more beautiful views.
Distance: 8/13 km
Explore the serene river valley near Jetřichovice, leading to the atmospheric ruins of Dolský Mlýn, an old water mill. For history enthusiasts, a climb to the Šaunštejn castle ruins reveals the secrets of a medieval merchant route. Adventurous hikers can visit Falkenštejn castle and the Malá Pravčická Brána, a smaller sandstone arch reminiscent of the park’s larger formations.
A highlight of the journey awaits with the Pravčická Brána, Europe’s largest natural sandstone arch. This stunning natural formation has inspired countless artists and writers, including H.C. Andersen. A scenic trail through forested hills offers spectacular views before concluding with a serene dinghy boat trip through the Wild Gorge, immersing you in the natural beauty of the region.
Distance: 7/12 km
Conclude your journey in the Tisá rock labyrinth, a sandstone wonderland featured in The Chronicles of Narnia. Wander through towering rock formations and, for a final adventure, ascend Sněžník Mountain. At 723 meters, its lookout tower provides sweeping views of the picturesque, rolling hills of Bohemian Switzerland.
This itinerary offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural history, and serene landscapes for an unforgettable hiking experience.

Our self-guided tours
Accommodation is one of the most important parts of each trip that strongly influences the final look of it. We make our best to offer you the best possible accommodation in the prefered category. The hotels we offer are either comfortable small hotels or quite guesthouses both in 3* quality, all of it rather small and with personality than big chain. All the tours have accommodation in or near the town/village centres so you can spend the afternoon and evening after biking exploring the town itself or simply enjoy the peace of the place.
