Tour description

Let yourself been taken of the beaten track! Hit the trail through the fairytale nature of the Bohemian Swiss NP and the Lusatian Mountains. This piece of land had been admired for its uniqueness since the 19th century. It did not change much since then. You will enjoy the wild forrest, sandstone rock towers, deep gorges. Countless viewpoints and the beauty of the folk architecture will finish the picture. Travel in time as you will use the historical coaches, boats and steam train to travel between the hiking parts. Feel noble as those who first have uncovered and truly enjoyed the local marvells have been the old noble families since some 18-19th century!

Individual arrival to Děčín - flight to Prague or Dresden. This day is yours to explore the capital of the Bohemian Swiss NP.

Děčín -Jiřetín pod Jedlovou - Krásná Lípa

After the breakfast we transfer you to Lusatian Mountains for your first hiking. The tour starts with conquering of the castle ruin Tolštejn. Then you continue to Jedlová hora with a lookout tower with beautiful views. By descending from the hill Jedlová you will visit a pilgrim chapel on the top of the Křížová hora (Cross hill) with the calvary. Then you leave the Lusatian mountains and slowly you will slip in the National Park Bohemian Switzerland. You will stay overnight in a cosy heart of the park - the town Krásná Lípa with national park museum, local brewery and chocolate manufacture.

Krásná Lípa-Doubice

First of all you will make you familiar with the history of the town Krásná Lípa on the nature educational trail Köglerova naučná stezka. Further on the way the fairy Kyjov valley with many sand stone towers awaits your approach. At the end of the day you will come to Doubice village with a garden with wooden sculptures. Doubice - Jetřichovice

This hiking day wonderful silent forest trails will follow you on you trip. You will come round to Kinsky noble family swiss alps style build chalets. By Rynartice village you will admire one of the most stunnig panoramic views of the Bohemian Switzerland. After you will descent to the Pavlino valley, where you will meet the Kamenice creek for the first time. This cold stream takes you to Jetřichovice. Return by public bus to Doubice, accommodation in Doubice.

Jetřichovice - Mezní Louka

This day you will discover the Jetřichovice lookouts. You will start with a climb to the Maria's rock with wooden gazebo on its top that offers breathtaking view of the Bohemian Switzerland. Hierfrom you will continue a ridge trail with many other beautiful views. On your way to Mezní Louka you will also conquer a castle ruin Šaunštejn guarding the historical merchant route and meet remarkable sand stone rock formation Malá Pravčická brána (Little Pravčice gate)

You will see Pravčická brána sandstone arch, where Hans Christian Andersen dreamt up fairy tales, and later parts of the Chronicles of Narnia were filmed. The hike along the rock towers high above the Elbe valley offers you unforgettable experiences, which will then be the highlight of your hiking tour with the boat trip in the Wild Gorge. Optional short trip with the historic Saxon-Bohemian National Park Express to Mezní Louka.

Dolní Žleb - Děčín

In the morning we will pick you up with your luggage and transfer you to the start of the last hiking to Dolní Žleb. You will climb up to the top of the sand stone rocks surrounded by the deepest river canyon in Europe to the Belvedere lookout point near Labská Stráň.
