Quick answer
For a supported tour with luggage transfer, you need: 2–3 sets of cycling kit, a small daypack for the ride, casual clothes for evenings, and standard travel documents. The list below covers everything — use it as a final check before you close your suitcase.
Who is this for
Anyone booking a self-guided bike tour in Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, or Hungary where luggage is transported between hotels by van. You carry only a small daypack (3–5 litres) on the bike each day.

Practical tips
- Bag weight limit — most operators cap luggage at 15–20 kg. Weigh your bag before leaving home.
- Use a soft-sided duffel or wheeled bag — easier to stack in the luggage van than hard-shell cases.
- Label your bag with your name and tour booking reference.
- Pack cycling kit at the top of your suitcase so you can grab it each morning without unpacking everything.
- Laundry: most 5–7 day tours don't include laundry services. 3 sets of cycling kit + handwashing one set per evening works well.
