Bike Tour Packing Checklist (Print & Pack)

A quick-reference packing checklist for a self-guided bike tour in Central Europe. Print this page before you pack, tick off each item, and you won't forget a thing. For the full reasoning behind each item, see our complete packing guide.

Quick answer

For a supported tour with luggage transfer, you need: 2–3 sets of cycling kit, a small daypack for the ride, casual clothes for evenings, and standard travel documents. The list below covers everything — use it as a final check before you close your suitcase.

Who is this for

Anyone booking a self-guided bike tour in Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, or Hungary where luggage is transported between hotels by van. You carry only a small daypack (3–5 litres) on the bike each day.

How to use this checklist

Print this page or open it on your phone as you pack. The list is split by category. Items marked (daypack) go in the bag you carry on the bike. Everything else goes in your main suitcase or duffel.

Practical tips

  • Bag weight limit — most operators cap luggage at 15–20 kg. Weigh your bag before leaving home.
  • Use a soft-sided duffel or wheeled bag — easier to stack in the luggage van than hard-shell cases.
  • Label your bag with your name and tour booking reference.
  • Pack cycling kit at the top of your suitcase so you can grab it each morning without unpacking everything.
  • Laundry: most 5–7 day tours don't include laundry services. 3 sets of cycling kit + handwashing one set per evening works well.

Recommended tours

All our self-guided tours include daily luggage transfer, so you can pack for comfort rather than going ultra-light. Browse the Danube Cycle Path, Prague–Vienna Greenway, and Elbe routes to find your perfect holiday.
