Tour description

Embark on an unforgettable cycling adventure through the stunning archipelago located just north of Lofoten. This hidden treasure offers a tranquil retreat where you can pedal through diverse and breathtaking natural scenery. Your journey takes you along serene fjords and expansive ocean views, beneath towering mountains, and through vibrant marshlands and lush cultural landscapes. One highlight of the trip is the historic fishing village of Nyksund. Once a desolate ghost town by the open sea, Nyksund has been revitalized and now attracts visitors with its unique charm. As you continue, you can opt for a scenic boat ride among the islets south of Nyksund before heading to Bø in Vesterålen, a destination often described as the jewel of the region due to its remarkable natural beauty and variety.

This itinerary includes a couple of extra days to let you explore additional routes or enjoy a hike in the magnificent surroundings. While in Nyksund, don’t miss the chance to hike the famous Dronningruta (Queen's Route). Named after Queen Sonja of Norway, who fell in love with the trail during her 1994 visit, this route was voted Norway's most stunning hike in 2012.

Our self-guided tours

Accommodation is one of the most important parts of each trip that strongly influences the final look of it. We make our best to offer you the best possible accommodation in the prefered category. The hotels we offer are either comfortable small hotels or quite guesthouses both in 3* quality, all of it rather small and with personality than big chain. All the tours have accommodation in or near the town/village centres so you can spend the afternoon and evening after biking exploring the town itself or simply enjoy the peace of the place.
